Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.
Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.
With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.
We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.
A beautiful city that is easily walkable and felt very safe.
A beautiful city that is easily walkable and felt very safe. Close to the mountains the scenery is stunning. We ate at Cactus Club cafe by the harbour which was lovely, Coras for breakfast which is a diner style, the food was plentiful and very delicious and Joeys which was nice enough but service not great. Lots to see and do we enjoyed an evening stroll along the harbour front and hired bikes to cycle round Stanley Park and to Granville Island (cycle lanes everywhere so very easy to do). We were only there for a couple of days before and after a cruise but would definitely visit again.

Vanouver is a vibrant city and has a large amount of tourist attractions and outdoor areas to visit. Public transport is easy to use with a single ticket for Sea Bus (Ferry to north Vancouver) Trains and buses. Would recommend a day pass to use for all three at a very reasonable cost.

Vancouver is a big city with lots to do, my stay was unexpected and only 1 night but still managed to get a lot in. We took bikes from our hotel and rode around Stanley Park, it is user friendly and picturesque. If you do anything like that bring a beach towel to sit on the beach at the end in English Bay and take in the surroundings, it is a beautiful city.

We spent 4 days here and visited Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge and Granville Island ( the rain came down on us ). Shopped at Robson St and lunched there. We booked a hop on - hop off for a day and visited Gastown, Chinatown, Stanley Park, Granville Island, it.s worth the price.
The Victorian Hotel is a cozy hotel in downtown Vancouver, close to Gastown and the harbor. The beds are very comfortable! The rooms have a very comfy vibe with the hardwooden floors and partly antique furniture. I didn't mind at all that my room had a shared bathroom. The bathrooms on the floor were very large, clean. I actually preferred it this way to having my own tiny bathroom. The staff is very friendly and accomodating with an excellent eye for detail. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I return to beautiful Vancouver.
The best part is that this hotel is non-profit! All the profits go to charitable causes. And it has lots of amenities hotels usually don't have -- like an open terrace and multiple shared kitchens (plus rooms have fridges)
It's a great value-for-money stay Downtown. We had a room with double beds and stayed with 4 of us there, so it was very affordable. I'm not sure we could find anything comparable in that area for that price! It's walking distance from the course terminal and many other good places in Downtown Vancouver
This is the best place to stay in downtown Vancouver hands down and I’ve never even stayed anywhere else! From first impressions to last this one probably one of my favorite hotel stays. The concierges were incredible and welcoming I never had to lift a finger for doors or elevators. They put complimentary wine in my room for a birthday and the views are stunning! the room itself is so modern and clean, heated floors, led bathroom lights, integrated plug ins for usb on the lamps, just a 10/10 experience!
A very well appointed suite with kitchenette and free wifi and secure parking. Also includes a free breakfast every morning which was great. This location is close to many dining and shopping venues. A ten minute cab ride took you anywhere in downtown Vancouver to most venues($10). David at the front desk is a great ambassador to this hotel, very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful….he made our stay one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. l will stay here again when in Vancouver.
The service was phenomenal - much better than a lot of 5* hotels out there. All members of the staff were accommodating of all our requests! Coupled with brand new features, state of the art amenities and prime location at the heart of Vancouver downtown, steps away from my WeWork office spaces for work. The in-hotel XYLIA Spa was phenomenal too. Karma lounge has good food, and it is certainly a vibe to see your hotel having a nightclub down your elevators ;)
Loved the Wedgewood hotel. Bed was extremely comfortable decor tasteful in keeping with the style of the hotel. The spa treatment I experienced was exceptional with a highly capable therapist. There is a lovely bar where we enjoyed bar food on the evening of our arrival which was ideal after the fatigue of a long haul flight. The location at the centre of downtown Vancouver is a major plus in getting to know the city
Everything.....this place is great! Whenever we go to a Canucks game, Whitecaps game or concert we try to stay here. Walking distance to everything. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and rooms are really nice. We had to wait a tiny bit for our room to be ready this time around, as it was a busy weekend downtown Vancouver, and they upgraded us by surprise! We highly recommend this hotel!
I was traveling on business and this was a great hotel for a meeting at the Vancouver Convention Centre. I was able to walk to the meeting venue. The staff at the hotel are also very helpful and accommodating (e.g. getting a cab to the airport, recommendations for restaurants etc). Lots of restaurants close by and proximity to Stanley Park is a plus. Close to really good running trails.
Staff was friendly! Price was good. The building itself was older and it looked like they were renovating/painting. The location was not very good in terms of noise and very close to the main road, however was close to the hotel and provided free shuttle service to the airport which was a great help. I would stay again for a night before and after a flight out of Vancouver airport.
Big, bright, modern room. Excellent cleaning and reception and concierge staff were excellent. The location is in just about the best part of downtown Vancouver. The staff were extremely welcoming, from our first arrival, and every time we came in and went out of the hotel. They made sure they got to know us as guests very quickly. Very impressed, would highly recommend.
This was a perfect hotel for anyone doing the Vancouver Marathon - nice and quiet for getting a good pre-race sleep and only about 4 blocks from the Vancouver City Centre Skytrain station to get to the 41st and Oak marathon startline. About $100 less than the cheapest downtown hotel, yet a private room at Samsun feels the same as a hotel.
Great location. We did not have breakfast we left the hotel at 4.30 AM for the airport. But we were very disappointed with the flying with Flair airlines [2 hours delay in lax and 5 hours delay in Vancouver, We receive a voucher for $10 each as a compensation for food. This was not acceptable and are requesting some refunds.
Thank you
Everything was really okay. We booked there from one day to the other when Vancouver has been very busy and crowded up. All has been okay. The room has been large and spacious, the beds very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The interiour is not really the newest, but all clean and good. The hotel is really downtown...
Wow! What a view I got from the 24th floor. FANTASTIC! So exciting. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The room was fantastic, clean, modern, spacious, great beds. The lifts were fast and easy to use. I had breakfast in the restaurant by reception which was of an excellent standard.
Excellent location in the middle of downtown Vancouver, the hotel staff were friendly and efficient, they interacted well with our child. The room was clean, and spacious, and comfortable. The facilities were excellent.
Great location!! Becoming our favorite Downtown Vancouver Hotel..Smaller, boutique style hotel..Awesome service! Ask for the Executive Suite(s) Akin to a one- bedroom condo/ apartment.PERFECT.
